Resin 3D printing (SLA)
Resin 3D printing is an additive manufacturing technology that creates three-dimensional objects from a photosensitive liquid resin, which hardens when exposed to light (usually UV). This method stands out for its ability to produce highly precise, detailed parts with smooth surfaces.
It works using amovable platform that lowers into a vat filled with resin, while a light beam selectively exposes the resin according to the 3D model to be printed. The resin hardens where it is exposed, gradually forming the 3D object by stacking very thin layers.
Why choose resin technology?
Resin 3D printing technology is ideal if you are looking for exceptional precision, very fine detail and superior surface quality for your parts. It makes it possible to produce complex, miniature or intricately shaped parts with smooth, professional finishes. Thanks to a wide range of engineering resins, it adapts to many specific uses, from jewellery to dentistry to high-end prototyping.
It is particularly recommended for:
-
Creating detailed prototypes or high-end presentation models
-
Manufacturing miniature, complex parts or parts requiring a perfectly smooth surface
-
Professional applications demanding precision, aesthetics and specialised materials
On the other hand, if you need to quickly produce large parts, or if cost control is your priority, other technologies such as FDM may be more suitable. Resin printing nevertheless remains the go-to solution for highly detailed, professional results.
Resin 3D printing offers unprecedented build quality, faithfully reproducing complex models and delivering exceptional surface finishes.
